## Experience

### Senior iOS Developer · Digital channels — ABB

Nov 2024 – present · Baku, Azerbaijan · https://abb-bank.az

I build customer-facing mobile banking features for one of Azerbaijan's leading banks, in a cross-functional team of developers, designers and product managers.

- I ship features in Swift, following agile practices and clean-code principles.

Stack: Swift, iOS, Apple Pay, Payments

### Founder — horeca.az

Sept 2018 – present · Baku, Azerbaijan · https://horeca.az

I founded horeca.az in 2018. Today it's a local ecosystem of ERP, POS, QR-menu and B2B-store products for hospitality and retail.

- I lead product and engineering for NextAZ (ERP & accounting), NextCashier (retail POS), NextTerminal (restaurant POS), NextMenu (QR menus) and Horeca Store.
- I designed it around Azerbaijani law and e-invoicing, with offline-first sales and both cloud and on-premise deployment.
- I test it every day in a real retail and hospitality business.

Stack: ERP, POS, Offline-first, Product

### Senior Mobile Developer — PASHA Bank

Oct 2021 – Nov 2024 · Baku, Azerbaijan · https://www.pashabank.az

I built iOS apps in Swift for the bank's customers and employees, as part of an agile, cross-functional team.

- I developed the bank's Retail and SME mobile banking apps for iOS.
- I built dynamic payments from scratch, integrated Apple Pay, and implemented TOTP and app-security mechanisms.
- I set up CI/CD pipelines and onboarded and mentored new iOS engineers.

Stack: Swift, Objective-C, Apple Pay, CI/CD, Security

### Director of Software Development · Head of the Information Systems Management Department — Agro Procurement and Supply OJSC

Sept 2019 – Oct 2021 · Baku, Azerbaijan · https://www.att.gov.az/az

I held a dual role across software development and IT management, leading a team of developers and IT professionals.

- I was responsible for planning, delivery, budgets and quality across the company's software projects.
- I introduced CI/CD to automate builds, testing and deployment.
- With my team I launched Kənddən Şəhərə, Şəhərdən Kəndə, AFAQ, Qurbanlıq, Yarmarka and a supply-chain quality-control app.

- I led iOS development from UI design to the App Store release, and coordinated the Android side to keep both platforms consistent.

Stack: Swift, REST APIs, Databases

### Software Developer — IDRAK Technology Transfer

Oct 2014 – Jul 2017 · Baku, Azerbaijan · https://idrak.com

On the Smart School project the E-Library module was mine end to end — from preparing the books to the Android app.

- Wrote a JavaFX desktop app that split EPUB books into sections by topic and stored them in MongoDB, indexed for fast search.
- Built the server side on MongoDB: a JSP backend with a REST API.
- Wrote the Android client: search a topic across all books, download only the matching sections as a new book or the full book, and open it in the reader app.

Stack: Java, JavaFX, JSP, MongoDB, REST API, Android

### Early career and community

- **Computer Teacher** — Piramida Education and Career Centre, Sept 2011 – Sept 2014. While at university, I taught IT fundamentals, Windows, Microsoft Office and design tools.

## Projects

### Own products

#### horeca.az — ERP & POS ecosystem

2018 – present · Role: Founder · product & engineering lead · https://horeca.az

I'm building a local software ecosystem for hospitality and retail: ERP, POS, QR menus and a B2B store. It connects every core process, from the sale at the till to the financial report. It follows Azerbaijani law, keeps selling when the internet drops, and runs in the cloud or on-premise.

Products in the ecosystem:

- **NextAZ** — ERP, accounting, inventory, HR and e-invoicing
- **NextCashier** — Offline-first POS for retail stores
- **NextTerminal** — POS for restaurants — floor, hall and kitchen
- **NextMenu** — Digital QR menus for restaurants and cafés
- **Horeca Store** — B2B online store for hospitality businesses

#### ai-mask — AI security · DLP

2026 – present · Role: Author · design & engineering

I built a local DLP gateway that sits between AI coding assistants and LLM APIs. It finds card numbers, IBANs, secrets and customer names in outgoing prompts and files, and swaps them for reversible local tokens, or redacts them, before anything leaves the machine. When the model replies, it puts the real values back.

- I kept it to one auditable Go binary: standard library only, builds offline.
- It detects data by key, by pattern (Luhn, IBAN mod-97, entropy) and with a local ML sensitivity model.
- Every masking is logged for audit as counts only, never the values. I mapped it to PCI-DSS and GDPR.

#### Agro Procurement & Supply — Agritech platforms

2019 – 2021 · Role: Head of the Information Systems Management Department and Deputy Director of IT

Public platforms such as Kənddən Şəhərə (online market), Şəhərdən Kəndə (tourism and booking app), AFAQ, Qurbanlıq, Yarmarka and a supply-chain quality-control app — I worked on building them as head of department and team lead.

#### Opal Transfer — Money transfer · iOS & backend

2017 – 2021 · Role: Backend → iOS Developer · https://www.opaltransfer.com

A UK money-transfer service. I started on the backend, building REST APIs and the data layer, then led the iOS app to launch and coordinated the Android side.

#### Smart School · E-Library — EdTech · desktop, backend & Android

2014 – 2017 · Role: Software Developer

I built the Smart School E-Library module end to end. Books were split by topic and indexed in MongoDB, so search was fast; in the Android app you could find a topic across every book and download just those sections as a new book — or the whole book — to open in the reader app.
