I build mobile banking apps, backends & APIs that scale, ERP & POS ecosystems, AI tools that keep data safe, products, end to end.
I'm a senior iOS developer and founder with 12 years in mobile, backend and web. I've shipped mobile banking apps and led software teams. Today I'm building horeca.az, an ERP and POS ecosystem for hospitality and retail.

Products I've shipped with my teams.
Mobile banking, money transfers, agriculture and education — I've built products in all four, as an engineer and as a team lead.
ABB mobile
The mobile bank of one of Azerbaijan's leading banks. In the Digital Channels team I work on customer-facing features, including card top-ups with Apple Pay.
My role: Senior iOS Developer
PASHA Bank
I worked on the bank's Retail and SME mobile banking apps for iOS. I built dynamic payments from scratch, integrated Apple Pay, implemented TOTP and app-security mechanisms, and set up CI/CD for the mobile team.
My role: Senior Mobile Developer
Agro Procurement & Supply
Public platforms such as Kənddən Şəhərə (online market), Şəhərdən Kəndə (tourism and booking app), AFAQ, Qurbanlıq, Yarmarka and a supply-chain quality-control app — I worked on building them as head of department and team lead.
My role: Head of the Information Systems Management Department and Deputy Director of IT
Opal Transfer
A UK money-transfer service. I started on the backend, building REST APIs and the data layer, then led the iOS app to launch and coordinated the Android side.
My role: Backend → iOS Developer
Smart School · E-Library
I built the Smart School E-Library module end to end. Books were split by topic and indexed in MongoDB, so search was fast; in the Android app you could find a topic across every book and download just those sections as a new book — or the whole book — to open in the reader app.
My role: Software Developer
Products I've built from the ground up.
Here I own every stage, from the idea to the release: product, design and code.
horeca.az
I'm building a local software ecosystem for hospitality and retail: ERP, POS, QR menus and a B2B store. It connects every core process, from the sale at the till to the financial report. It follows Azerbaijani law, keeps selling when the internet drops, and runs in the cloud or on-premise.
My role: Founder · product & engineering lead
In the ecosystem
NextAZ
ERP, accounting, inventory, HR and e-invoicing
NextCashier
Offline-first POS for retail stores
NextTerminal
POS for restaurants — floor, hall and kitchen
NextMenu
Digital QR menus for restaurants and cafés
Horeca Store
B2B online store for hospitality businesses
ai-mask
I built a local DLP gateway that sits between AI coding assistants and LLM APIs. It finds card numbers, IBANs, secrets and customer names in outgoing prompts and files, and swaps them for reversible local tokens, or redacts them, before anything leaves the machine. When the model replies, it puts the real values back.
- I kept it to one auditable Go binary: standard library only, builds offline.
- It detects data by key, by pattern (Luhn, IBAN mod-97, entropy) and with a local ML sensitivity model.
- Every masking is logged for audit as counts only, never the values. I mapped it to PCI-DSS and GDPR.
My role: Author · design & engineering
I'm an engineer who builds products.
You don't notice good software while it's there — only when it's gone. It quietly does its job.
I studied radio engineering and industrial electronics at Azerbaijan Technical University, and I was already teaching computer courses before I graduated. Since 2014 I've built software for education, money transfers, agriculture and banking. I started with backend and Android, moved to iOS, and went from writing code to leading the teams that write it.
Today I'm a Senior iOS Developer in ABB's digital channels team and the founder of horeca.az. I care about software that is secure, fast and easy to maintain.
AI is now part of how I work. I use AI agents across the whole engineering cycle, from analysis to code review. I also build tools that make AI safe for companies, like ai-mask: a DLP layer that keeps sensitive data out of LLM services.

What my managers say.
Their words from LinkedIn, quoted exactly as written.
It was a pleasure to work with Farid to solve technical challenges on our both iOS applications. He has broad range of knowledge in software engineering including microchip programming, machine learning, backend, web, mobile fields. His dedication on work resulted serial successful projects - building dynamic payments from scratch, TOTP implementation, security mechanisms, CI/CD pipeline building and etc. He also helped several software engineers to onboard our team effectively and guided them to excel in programming.
Farid is very experienced on iOS development side. He was developed Retail and SME mobile apps and while developing he helped other engineers to build their technical capabilities and develop the software engineering practices.
I am working with Farid for years. Farid very creative person, in all of our project he always showed his creativity. We team stuck Farid always has some incredible way. Farid also one the best developers that I know. His developing skills always impress me, because he always gets the best balance between the latest technologies and cost efficiency.
